Finally all the students and the professor have made it to the hostel in York. All are safe and sound and utterly exhausted. Tomorrow we have a day that mixes scheduled visits to historic sites with some free time, as well as afternoon tea. I also learned a little bit of British slang tonight. . . ropey, (unsure of the spelling) means rough, as in that pub is ropey, you don’t want to go there. Good night from York, historically known as Jorvik.
